* Breaking: AI viewers tiring of lame commercialism, lame themes, lame contestants:

American Idol ratings continue to slide. The ratings for the Tuesday 10 April 2007 show hit a season-low, down nearly a million viewers from the previous week, 4 million viewers from a year ago, and 11 million viewers since the season premiere. We have no idea why that is, of course.

* Breaking: AI EP Nigel Lythgoe not paying attention to AI's sagging ratings:

Nigel reportedly called in to Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Wednesday and told Ryan and his listeners that there would be a "shocking elimination" tonite. Nigel's making that announcement had absolutely NOTHING to do with the first item, HE SWEARS!

* Breaking: AI-wannabe you've never heard of swears her sex tape does not exist, timing of its leak is merely coincidental:

AI2 top-24-contestant Olivia Mojica [yeah, we've never heard of her either -- Ed.] has a sex tape coming out soon. In no way is it timed to the upcoming finals of AI6, SHE SWEARS!!!

* Breaking: Sanjaya is a shark:

The snarkers over at JumpTheShark have voted "Sanjaya Malakar" as the #2 point at which AI "jumped the shark", behind only "Day One".
